Start with the mesmerising Smoking Ceremony from 8am-9am, performed and hosted by Kaurna elders on Kaurna land at Elder Park/Tarntanya Wama. Free entry. Bookings essential.

Gawler Place will come alive from 11am-2pm for Aus Day in Rundle Mall, with live music, storytelling and performances by South Australian community organisations. Free entry.

Experience Elder Park/Tarntanya Wama as never before and explore your connection to nature and belonging to Country. Be among the first in SA to explore the AirLume, a giant inflatable illuminated with artwork by school students in the Adelaide Hills to depict bushfire recovery and community healing. See performances by the Tjarutja Dance Collective projected onto a water screen on the River Torrens. Swim with virtual fish, see virtual wildlife and learn the traditional story of the River Torrens.

Free entry. Food hub open from 5.30pm, lights from 8.30pm.

Aus Day in Rundle Mall is presented in partnership with the City of Adelaide and Vili’s Family Bakery. The Smoking Ceremony is presented in partnership with the City of Adelaide, SA Power Networks and Sarah Constructions.

Aus Lights on the River and the entire Australia Day program 2022 is assisted by the Australian Government through the National Australia Day Council and supported by the Government of South Australia, Department of Premier and Cabinet.
